I am a Professor of Hydrogeology at the University of Nevada, Reno. I started to get serious about photography in 2002, when I bought my first DSLR, a Nikon D100, and my first professional ink jet printer. My primary interests are landscape/nature and cultural photography. My work is exhibited and sold in local (Reno, Nevada) galleries and I am an External Artist of the Sierra Arts Foundation. The Sierra Arts Foundation selects several artists (not just photographers) and exhibits their portfolios in business establishments in Reno, where they are offered for sale. I also enjoy cycling photography. My photos of professional bicycle races (including the Tour de France) have been published in VeloNews, the premier cycling publication in North America. I currently have nine portfolio galleries on exhibition at my website: Amazon, Cycling, New Zealand, France, Ireland, Reno Balloon Races, Kazakhstan, Wildlife and the Czech Republic (including Vienna).
